For His Glory
Tonight I was driving home from campaigners and this is what I heard.
"Melissa if you never share who you were before you knew Christ then the world will not be able to see God's Glory in you."
Bam. Ouch. Yikes, what exactly are you asking of me Lord?
To preface this I should tell you about church today. Today we watched a bio on Johnny Cash. Slightly odd, but each week we have watched a little video on someone in history as their struggle relates to the text we are studying. When Johnny came to know Christ he did not try to hide his sins and his imperfections. With Johnny we witnessed a man who shared his junk with the world. Instead of hiding behind shame and pride, his life before he knew Christ was used to show that God can work miracles, He can change us and even the greatest rebels can be made new in Him.
It seems that God is asking me to trust Him with my reputation. He is asking me to follow where He wants me to go. He is asking me to trust Him completely. It almost seems silly that this is a struggle. If only my head and heart would connect. If only my pride would vanish. If only I were more like Him.
